Inter forward Joaquin Correa took the plaudits after scoring a fine solo effort in the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over Sampdoria in Serie A yesterday.

As reported by L’Interista.it, the Argentina international impressed across all of Italy’s major newspaper outlets, after he carried the ball from deep and drilled in a wonderful effort from range to secure victory.

They argued that the former Lazio attacker had shown his true self in the match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and made the most of his opportunity against his former club, earning himself a rating of 7.5.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport were equally impressed with Correa’s display after he came off the bench for Edin Dzeko midway through the second half, and both newspapers awarded him a 7 rating.

Likewise, Turin-based outlet Tuttosport gave Correa a 7 for his display, which was matched by Tuttomercatoweb, as the 28-year-old earned impressive reviews all round for his play.
