Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi feels that there is still a lot for him to make up his mind about regarding the starting eleven in tomorrow evening’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the coach also noted that he is not necessarily intending to leave Lautaro Martinez or Alessandro Bastoni out due to being a booking away from suspension, although he could nevertheless put his faith in other players.

Inzaghi will have the chance to rotate his starting eleven quite a bit in the starting eleven to face Bayern tomorrow.

There is no result that can change the final outcome of the group, and so the pressure to get a result isn’t really there.

This does not mean, however, that the Nerazzurri will not hope to give a good account of themselves and fight for a win out of competitive pride and the desire to wrap up the group in the best way possible.

“Tomorrow won’t affect the outcome of the group,” Inzaghi noted, “but it will be an important match for us because we know how strong Bayern are.”

“We will play and organized and serious match.”

Asked if he expects there to be squad rotation in view of Sunday’s Serie A clash with Juventus, the coach replied that “Today we weren’t really working in view of deciding the lineup, I still have several doubts.”

“I will change the team up because we’ve been playing a lot, I’ll have to do well to evaluated the condition of each player,” he continued, “some players are currently dealing with knocks.”

“It will be a competitive training session tomorrow though.”

And asked if he wouldn’t be trusting Bastoni and Martinez tomorrow due to being one yellow card away from suspension, Inzaghi said that “More than not trusting them, it’s that I may decide to put my faith in other players instead.”

Asked about the fitness of striker Romelu Lukaku, Inzaghi said that “The club made a statement about it, he aggravated an existing injury.”

“He was in good form and returning, now he’ll have to be out for a bit and recover.”

“He’ll undergo further tests over the weekend and we’ll see if he can be available for the final stretch of the league,” the coach added.
