Football fans should not be surprised to see Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella’s name on the scoresheet anymore, after his goal against Sampdoria on Saturday, Italian media claim.

The former Cagliari midfielder scored a magnificent first half goal to help Inter beat Sampdoria 3-0 in Serie A, and it came as part of a display that earned the applause of Italy’s major newspaper outlets, as reported by L’Interista.it.

Barella’s goal against Sampdoria took his scoring streak to three games, having previously netted against Salernitana and Fiorentina, in Inter’s most recent Serie A matches,

His prowess in front of goal prompted La Gazzetta dello Sport to declare that this was a usual occurrence now, as they awarded him a 7.5 in their player ratings, a score matched by Tuttomercatoweb.

Barella’s consistency and energy in midfield were also cited as key factors in L’Interista awarding him a 7.5, whilst the Italy international was graded at 7 by Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport.
