Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu caught the eye with a dominant performance in the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over Sampdoria in Serie A on Saturday evening.

As reported by L’Interista.it, the Turkey international was in fine form and made a key impact against the Blucerchiati at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, earning rave reviews from Italy’s major newspaper outlets in their player ratings.

The former AC Milan player set up Stefan De Vrij for Inter’s opener, and was praised by La Gazzetta dello Sport for his vision in midfield, with the newspaper suggesting he had antennae that could send him to the moon, as they scored him a 7.

Corriere dello Sport were even more impressed and in grading him at 7.5, they named him as the man of the match for his display.

Calhanoglu also earned plaudits from Tuttosport and Tuttomercatoweb, as they rated him at a 7, which was the same grade he earned from L’Interista.
