Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has suffered a thigh strain that will cause him to miss out on tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

This is confirmed by an announcement by the club on their official homepage, which reveals that tests have determined that the 29-year-old has suffered a strain to his left thigh.

Lukaku had felt some muscle pain during yesterday’s training session according to the club’s announcement.

The Belgian underwent tests with the Nerazzurri’s medical staff, which revealed that he had suffered a strain to his left thigh.

Lukaku had returned from a similar injury in Inter’s Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen last week before also playing from the bench in Saturday’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria.

However, the 29-year-old has unfortunately suffered a similar injury to his left thigh.

The club’s announcement states that Lukaku’s condition will be evaluated again next week.

Lukaku’s participation in tomorrow’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich can be ruled out due to his latest injury.

The Belgian’s availability for other matches prior to the World Cup break, Serie A clashes with Juventus, Bologna, and Atalanta, could also be doubts due to the thigh problem, depending on what further tests determine.
