Inter’s Curva Nord ultras will attend this evening’s Champions League group stage match against Bayern Munich but will not chant or wave banners.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the ultras group have taken the decision to travel to Munich to support the team but will remain virtually silent in tribute to Vittoria Boiocchi.

The Nord ultras created significant controversy in Saturday’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria when they decided to not only vacate the north stand of the San Siro as a spontaneous tribute to Boiocchi, a prominent ultra who was shot dead, but also forced other matchgoing fans to leave.

The group have decided to travel to Munich to attend this evening’s match against Bayern, the Nerazzurri’s final group stage fixture of the season.

However, the tribute to Boiocchi will continue to be observed.

Members of the Nord ultras group will not chant or wave banners as they usually would during this evening’s match in Munich.
