Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that the Nerazzurri have gotten themselves back on track by regaining the fluidity that they had for much of last season.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Adani highlighted the positional interchange of the players on the pitch and also the importance of Hakan Calhanoglu to the Nerazzurri’s style of play in recent weeks.

Inter have looked sharper in terms of their positioning on the pitch in recent matches than they had earlier on in the season where gaps were often left in the team, particularly between midfield and defense.

Those earlier performances had been a far cry from the fluid style of play at the Nerazzurri had employed for much of last campaign.

However, Inter’s style in their recent run of form has much more closely resembled the way that the team played last season, and Adani has been a fan of what he’s seen.

“Inter have managed their game well,” he said, “the midfield trio is doing everything well.”

“Mkhitaryan is a fourth starter, and they’ve discovered that Calhanoglu can play as a regista.”

Adani argued that “Inter are a team who know better than anyone how to interchange positions on the pitch, everyone builds play and rotates completely.”

“They’re getting back on their feet by getting back to their style of play from last season, rediscovering that sense of fluidity,” he continued.

“They create a lot, and unlike a month ago, are actually producing something concrete

“In this context Calhanoglu is doing very well to interpret his new role,” Adani added.
