Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has been very impressed with what Henrikh Mkhitaryan has brought to Inter’s midfield.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the journalist praised the intelligence that the summer signing from Roma has shown in his first few months as a Nerazzurri player.

Mkhitaryan joined Inter on a two-year deal as a free transfer during the summer transfer window, with the 33-year-old’s contract with the Giallorossi having expired.

The former Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, and Manchester United midfielder has proven himself to be a very versatile addition to the squad.

Mkhitaryan has added composure and experience to the Nerazzurri’s midfield when he has played.

Whilst the 33-year-old may not be a long-term addition to Inter’s squad, in terms of his immediate impact he has certainly contributed a lot to the squad.

Biasin is an admirer and particularly feels that Mkhitaryan’s understanding of the game has stood out.

“Last season the backup players in the squad were not real alternatives to the starters, but this summer some top players arrived,” he argued.

“Look at Mkhitaryan for example, he was a key player for Roma and his footballing intelligence is immense,” Biasin added.
