Inter strike pair Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa have come in for some significant criticism for their performances in yesterday evening’s Champions League loss to Bayern Munich.

The pair each received scores of just 5/10 for their displays in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi had his options restricted in picking his attack for yesterday’s match given the injury to Romelu Lukaku and the fact that Edin Dzeko wasn’t fully fit.

The coach gave Argentine duo Martinez and Correa the nod, but neither really convinced.

Martinez had one glorious chance which he failed to convert, whilst Correa was even less influential than his countryman.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport singled out defender Francesco Acerbi for a more positive display, awarding the 34-year-old a score of 6.5/10.

The same grade was also given to midfielder Nicolo Barella for a relatively convincing all-action performance at the heart of midfield.
