Wingback Raoul Bellanova put in a courageous display in his first ever start for Inter in yesterday’s Champions League loss to Bayern Munich.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who also argue that forward Joaquin Correa in particular put on a disappearing act for much of his time on the pitch.

Bellanova has handed his first ever start in a Nerazzurri shirt as Simone Inzaghi picked a heavily rotated eleven for a match that had little competitive significance.

The 22-year-old impressed with his energy and physicality, as he looked like an outlet in behind down the right flank and also showed real defensive commitment.

The Corriere awarded Bellanova a score of 6.5/10 for his performance in the player ratings for yesterday’s match.

On the other hand, the newspaper only gave a grade of 5/10 to Correa, who failed to get into the match in his starting place.
