Premier League side Everton have joined Bayer Leverkusen in targeting Inter wingback Robin Gosens.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that there is a realistic chance of the 28-year-old leaving Inter in January and that Everton are among the teams interested in his signature alongside clubs in the Bundesliga.

Gosens has still found playing time harder than expected to come by at Inter since the start of the season.

Accordingly, the German could be open to leaving in search of a more prominent role at a different team.

Leverkusen had pursued Gosens during the final days of the summer transfer window but were unable to agree a deal with Inter to sign him.

However, the German team’s interest in signing the former Atalanta wingback has not diminished, and they could return for him in January.

The Nerazzurri would be willing to listen to offers for Gosens as early as the January transfer window, possibly considering a loan deal containing a purchase obligation.

According to FCInterNews, the 28-year-old’s agent is in Germany, where he has spoken with Leverkusen as well as other Bundesliga teams.

Meanwhile, the interest in Gosens is not only coming from the Bundesliga, with Everton also keen on signing the German.
