Inter could address the contract situations of striker Edin Dzeko, wingback Matteo Darmian, and goalkeeper Samir Handanovic during the World Cup break.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri could use the break as an opportunity to start talks regarding possible new deals for the trio.

Extending the contracts of defenders Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij are the main priorities for Inter, but there are other players whose contracts are presently set to expire at the end of June 2023.

Dzeko, Darmian, and captain Handanovic are three of these, and the status of all of the trio beyond the the end of the current season remains up in the air.

However, the Nerazzurri may not want to let the situations remain outstanding for too much longer.

Inter will have more than a month away from Serie A as the squad disperses for the World Cup break, but in the meantime they could begin talks towards dealing with the futures of Dzeko, Darmian, and Handanovic beyond the end of this season.
