Inter are likely to agree a contract extension with defender Stefan de Vrij until the end of June 2025.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are moving towards extending the 30-year-old’s deal as he changes agent to Federico Pastorello.

As it stands, de Vrij’s contract with Inter runs out at the end of June 2023, with the club having not offered a new deal to the Dutchman during the previous summer transfer window.

However, the club would still be ready to offer an extension in order to secure the defender’s future and not see him leave on a free transfer next summer.

For his part, the former Lazio and Feyenoord defender is happy in Milan and would be happy to accept a new contract offer.

De Vrij has changed agent to Pastorello recently, and his priority looks to be to remain at Inter rather than seek a move to a new club.
