Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is likely to start on the bench in Sunday evening’s Serie A match against Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old should be fit enough to make the squad but will not start the match.

Brozovic looks to be ready to finally make his return from a thigh strain that he picked up during the September international break.

The Croat has been out for more than a month, and in the meantime the team have managed to cope with his absence in midfield, something that they had not been able to do last season.

Strong performances from the trio of Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Nicolo Barella in the centre of the pitch have precipitated a run of good form for the Nerazzurri.

Accordingly, even with Brozovic back fit for Sunday’s clash with the Bianconeri, he is not likely to be rushed back into the starting eleven.
