The former Napoli striker Gianluca Savoldi believes that Inter Milan are still a very strong team, but that AC Milan remains the team to beat for the Serie A title.

The former Partenopei striker spoke to Italian radio broadcaster TMW Radio, as reported by FCInter1908.it, about Inter Milan’s chances for the Serie A title this season.

“Milan are still stronger, even if Napoli are the more serious candidates for the Serie A title. The Rossoneri have the players to break open a match. Inter remain strong, as they have added some important players this year,” said Savoldi.

“I would not discount Juventus, who were deprived of three important players and should not be underestimated. And then there is Atalanta. The next round will be a big test for the league’s big teams,” concluded the former Napoli player.

Gianluca Savoldi made fourteen appearances for Napoli, while scoring two goals for the club.

The former Napoli striker had his best spell of his career with Pisa, where he collected eighty-nine appearances and scored twenty-seven goals, along with three assists for the Tuscan club.

Inter and Juventus face off on Sunday, November 6 in the Derby d’Italia at 20:45 CET at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

AC Milan face Spezia Calcio on Saturday at 20:45 CET at the Stadio San Siro, while Napoli face Atalanta on Saturday at 18:00 CET at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
