Inter are already in talks with striker Edin Dzeko regarding the possibility of a one-season contract extension.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri have already started the process of trying to agree a new deal with the Bosnian and are prepared to offer a contract.

Dzeko’s current contract with Inter is set to expire at the end of June 2023.

Based on his form so far this season, however, the Nerazzurri would not want to let go of the Bosnian at the end of the season.

Despite the fact that he will turn 37 during the current campaign, Dzeko has shown no signs of slowing down and remains a dependable player for both goals and overall performances in important matches.

Accordingly, the feeling within the club is that the former Roma, Manchester City, and Wolfsburg striker can have a role to play going into the future, provided his fitness and minutes are managed properly.

Dzeko is not likely to be offered an extension of more than one season given his age, however.
