Inter are ready to offer a contract extension to defender Milan Skriniar worth €7 million net per season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the Nerazzurri are close to making their offer and that they have some more financial flexibility given reaching the Champions League round of sixteen.

Contacts have been ongoing with Skriniar and his representatives since the first formal meeting between the parties last Thursday.

Whilst the negotiations are well underway and the sense is that there is a positive dialogue regarding an extension, the Nerazzurri have yet to formally offer a new deal to the 27-year-old.

This should not be too far away, however, as according to the Corriere the club are ready to make their offer.

The new contract offered to the Slovakian will be worth around €7 million net per season.

The Nerazzurri will then await Skriniar’s response as they aim to secure the former Sampdoria defender’s future without delay.
