Inter and Torino are set to meet in January to discuss the future of wingback Valentino Lazaro, currently on loan with the Granata.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that Tuttosport would want to ask about the possibility of lowering the asking price for a permanent deal from the €6 million purchase clause contained in his loan deal.

Lazaro has enjoyed good form on loan with the Granata over the season so far.

The sense is that the 26-year-old could finally have found the right club for his future after loan spells with Newcastle United, Borussia Monchengladbach, and Benfica did not lead to permanent transfers.

Lazaro’s loan deal contains a purchase option for Torino to sign him on a permanent basis for €6 million.

However, the Granata would like for this to be lowered.

Accordingly, the two clubs are set to meet in January to discuss the possible conditions of a permanent sale of Lazaro.

Given that the Austrian’s current contract with Inter expires at the end of June 2024, if he were to go out on loan again then the Nerazzurri would have to extend his deal.
