Italian journalist Giancarlo Padovan feels that at the moment Inter are the better team than Juventus across the board.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Padovan gave his thoughts on what separates the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri ahead of the Derby d’Italia clash over the weekend.

Neither Inter and Juventus had the kinds of starts to the season befitting their respective status among the favourites to win the Serie A title before the campaign began.

However, both appear to have recovered, at least somewhat.

However, the Nerazzurri’s recovery has arguably been more convincing, particularly factoring in their exploits in the Champions League where they’ve reached the knockouts whereas the Bianconeri have dropped down into the Europa League.

For his part, Padovan feels that there is also a stylistic component.

The journalist gave his thoughts on the contrast between how the two teams play and particularly how they attack.

“Inter are more complete than Juve in terms of their squad, and furthermore they are more versatile in terms of how they attack,” he said.
