Juventus defender Danilo feels that whilst the Bianconeri are aware of who they’re facing in Inter, they are also confident in their own qualities.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the Brazilian gave his thoughts ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash between the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri.

Inter travel to Turn to face Juventus for a match that is always one of the most significant of both teams’ seasons and one of the real showpiece occasions of Italian football.

Neither team started the season off in the best way and have thus given themselves work to do.

This gives the match another dimension, although in both cases the sense is that the teams have started to find their feet after their poor starts to the campaign.

Danilo started by looking back on the 1-0 win by Inter at the same stadium last season, stating that “Playing for Juventus, I can’t look back on a match that we lost and say that it was one of our best performances.”

“They scored, we didn’t,” he continued, “and for us those three points would have been very important in terms of the league.”

The Brazilian said that “We respect Inter, but I think we’re getting back in form, always staying focused and staying in matches.”
