Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic could come off the bench as a substitute during the second half of Sunday’s Serie A clash with Juvnetus.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, who report that the 29-year-old will not be included in the starting eleven to face the Bianconeri but that he could be ready to play as a substitute.

Brozovic will be included in the first matchday squad for Inter since the September international break, when he picked up a thigh strain that has ruled him out for over a month of action.

However, this does not mean that the Croat will be rushed straight back into the starting eleven.

Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are expected to start the match in midfield.

However, it is very possible that Brozovic will be used as a substitute during the second half of the match, and he would be fit enough to do so.
