Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is likely to rely on the trio of Hakan Calhanoglu, Nicolo Barella, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in midfield for all three of the Nerazzurri’s remaining Serie A matches before the World Cup break.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach is inclined to keep his trust in the midfield that has looked balanced and in form over the past few weeks.

Marcelo Brozovic’s return from injury means that Inzaghi will have a real selection dilemma on his hands in the next few Serie A matches.

The 29-year-old is almost certain not to start against Juventus over the weekend, although he will be on the bench for the first time in over a month.

However, the subsequent matches against Bologna and Atalanta could give the coach something to think about.

According to the Gazzetta, however, Inzaghi is happy with the balance that the trio of Calhanoglu, Barella, and Mkhitaryan have given the team in recent matches.

Accordingly, the coach should rely on them to start the next matches as he aims for nine points out of nine before the World Cup.
