Borussia Mönchengöadbach’s Sporting Director Roland Virkus has added fuel to the fire of rumors linking the Bundesliga outfit with a move for Inter’s German international wingback Robin Gosens.

Speaking during a press conference after Gladbach’s 3-1 win over Stuttgart in the Bundesliga as reported via German outlet Fussball Transfers, Virkus confirmed that Gosens is a player he rates.

“I don’t know how high his salary is but it is clear that he has quality. I can’t confirm the rumors circulating but we are always interested in making intelligent quality deals at the right price” Virkus stated.

Robin Gosens signed for Inter in January 2022 from Atalanta but has struggled to play regularly, collecting to date only 24 matches across all competitions scoring twice, albeit both goals coming in big matches.

The German’s opened his account in the return leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal against AC Milan scoring the 3-0 goal en route to winning the competition this past May.

His second goal came in the Champions League group stage clash away against Barcelona at the Cam Nou, scoring the 3-2 goal in a six goal thriller which ended 3-3.

Before joining Inter, he spent four and a half season in Bergamo with Atalanta featuring 157 times across all competitions scoring 29 goals in the process.
