Italian media highlight the consecutive goals from Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu in the Derby d’Italia, as Inter Milan and Juventus set to face off on Sunday night, 20.45 CET.

In today’s print edition of Rome based Corriere dello Sport as reported via FCInterNews, the paper highlight how Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has maintained a goal-scoring streak against Juventus, as well as scoring in important matches last season against AC Milan, Napoli, and AS Roma.

“The Bianconeri have paid the price at least twice, as Calhanoglu scored in the league and Coppa Italia.

“For his first goal, he had to retake his penalty against Szczesny and scored on the second attempt, as he had lost his fear when he repeated the kick,” said the Rome-based print newspaper.

“Calhanoglu scored during the final of the Coppa Italia. The Nerazzurri were losing 2-1 and he scored the tying goal, which launched the sprint to gain extra time and then eventually winning the trophy, the Corriere dello Sport continued.

The Italian newspaper concluded by pointing out that Calhanoglu has scored in two straight games against Juventus, as Inter hope this streak continues.

Before joining Inter, the Turkish international midfielder signed for AC Milan for a reported fee of €20 million in 2017, where he featured 115 times across all competitions scoring 28 goals in the process.

In June 2021, Hakan Calhanoglu joined Inter on a free transfer and so far he has featured 63 times across all competitions scoring 10 goals in the process.

Juventus and Inter face off on Sunday at 20:45 CET at the Allianz Stadium in Turin in this season’s first Derby d’Italia.
