Inter Milan’s Italian international defender Alessandro Bastoni is doubtful to play tomorrow after showing flu-like symptoms hours before Sunday’s Derby d’Italia at the Allianz Stadium at 20:45 CET in Turin.

This according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia aired this afternoon , as reported via FCInterNews.

The report states that the Inter defender will still leave for Turin with the rest of the squad, but may be replaced by Italian international defender Francesco Acerbi, who would start alongside Dutch international defender Stefan de Vrij in defence.

Prior to joining Inter Milan, Bastoni enjoyed a season at Atalanta where he collected 3 appearances across all competitions.

The Italian defender was transferred to Inter in August 2017 for a reported fee of €31 million before he was sent back on loan to Atalanta for the next two seasons.

In August 2018, the Nerazzurri sent Alessandro Bastoni on loan to Parma until the end of the 2018-19 season where he collected 24 appearances across all competition scoring one goal in the process.

The Inter defender has made 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
