Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani believes that Carlo Cottarelli’s InterSpac project is pointless and that the Italian Senator toyed with the Nerazzurri.
The Italian journalist and broadcaster sent a tweet criticizing Carlo Cottarelli and InterSpac for being destined to fail whilst accusing the Italian economist turned politician of only launching the project to support his entry into politics.
“I don’t understand how someone like Cottarelli launched a pointless project like InterSpac. I wrote at the time that the only explanation was to gain visibility.
“His entry into politics confirms this suspicion (either as a Senator or Governor). He toyed with Inter,” the Telelombardia director stated.
Cottarelli has the driving force behind InterSpac project, which is an initiative aimed at making shares in the Nerazzurri avaliable for the general public.
Carlo Cotarelli is a noted economist, and an Inter fan. The initiative is to transition away from the current Nerazzurri ownership model, which is a single owner, and towards a model where the fans have a controlling stake in the club via owning stakes in a holding company.
This is a similar model used by the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers and to certain teams in the German Bundesliga.

Suning is reportedly looking to sell Inter before they are due to repay a $275 million USD loan to American hedge fund Oaktree.
