Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is looking to extend his excellent record against Juventus when the two teams face each other in the Derby d’Italia this evening.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri tactician has enjoyed many of his matchups against Juventus throughout his coaching career, stemming back to his time at previous club Lazio.

Although Inzaghi has lost more games against the Bianconeri in his career than he has won, his record against the formerly perennial champions is nonetheless impressive, particularly due to the significance of his victories.

Inzaghi has won seven of his 18 matches against Juventus, losing nine, but his victories have included two Coppa Italia finals, one each with Lazio and Inter, as well as beating the Bianconeri with both of his clubs in the Supercoppa Italiana.

The former striker’s first encounter against Juventus as Inter coach saw him come close to victory, only a late Paulo Dybala penalty to cancel out Edin Dzeko’s goal, but since then he has enjoyed a 1-0 league win and a 4-2 Coppa Italia final triumph.
