Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is unlikely to be able to call upon centre-back Alessandro Bastoni for the Derby d’Italia against Juventus this evening, with Francesco Acerbi set to start.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Italian international Bastoni missed training yesterday after suffering from flu-like symptoms, and despite travelling to Turin with the rest of the squad he is not expected to recover in time for the match.

This has forced Inzaghi into a reshuffle, with Stefan De Vrij due to be in the starting line-up despite initially being considered for the bench after only recently returning from injury himself.

The Dutchman will play in the heart of the back three, alongside Milan Skriniar on the left, whilst Acerbi will be tasked with the right centre-back role.

Midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is in line to make his comeback from injury in the Serie A clash, with the Croatia international set to be named amongst the substitutes after almost 50 days out with a thigh strain.
