Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is set to make his comeback from injury against Juventus in the Debry d’Italia in Serie A this evening.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the 29-year-old has been out of action for 42 days since suffering a thigh injury in Croatia’s UEFA Nations League match against Austria in September.

However, Brozovic is in line to return to the fold at the Allianz Stadium, with a substitute appearance likely given his lengthy absence.

It is thought that the former Dinamo Zagreb player will be afforded a maximum of 30 minutes on the pitch, as he steps up his recovery to full fitness.

Meanwhile, the newspaper also highlighted his importance to Inter and suggesting that he is the cornerstone of Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 formation, despite Hakan Calhanoglu deputising well in his absence.

The Turkey international is expected to return to his more advanced role once Brozovic returns to the starting line-up, and Inzaghi will turn to the Croat to make his side tick in midfield again from a deeper position.
