Inter’s attack was not good enough against Juventus, as was defender Milan Skriniar, in the view of Italian media.

Strikers Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko as well as Skriniar were singled out as not being good enough at either end of the pitch in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, whilst wingback Federico Dimarco was praised.

Martinez and Dzeko were tasked with leading the line for Inter, but neither was really able to have an impact in front of goal.

The former had a couple of good chances to score but fluffed his lines in both instances.

Meanwhile, Dzeko tried to hold the ball up and frequently dropped deep to help out in possession, but hardly showed a presence in the box.

For the Corriere, the Nerazzurri’s defense coped fine, except for Skriniar who was a bit of a weak link on the night as both of the Bianconeri’s goals came down his side of the pitch.

On a more positive note, the newspaper hails Inter wingback Dimarco for largely restricting the influence of his opposite number Juan Cuadardo, usually one of the Bianconeri’s key players in possession, in the battle down his flank.
