Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that at the moment the Nerazzurri’s most significant problem is their finishing which lacks ruthlessness.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Adani argued that the Nerazzurri were not outplayed in their Serie A loss to Juventus over the weekend, but were in the end punished for their inability to be clinical in front of goal.

Inter did create quite a few promising situations in their match against Juventus, including a few clear-cut chances to find the back of the net.

In the end, however, the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Denzel Dumfries were not able to make the most of the chances that they got on the end of.

For Adani, this was the decisive factor in the match, as when the Bianconeri created good chances to score, their players made no mistake.

“I think it’s clear to anyone that on Sunday Juventus didn’t really deserve to win, but they took advantage of the kind of ruthlessness that Inter didn’t have,” he argued.

“The Nerazzurri could shave had four goals in the first half, while in the second it could have been 2-2, that’s the truth.”

“And here the defects of Inzaghi’s team are made clear,” Adani argued, “they don’t finish off what they create, and, on the contrary, suffer for everything they allow.”

“Inter were better than Juventus from a footballing point of view but lacked ruthlessness, and that was enough for Juve to win.”
