Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani feels that Inter made a significant error by not selling Milan Skriniar to sign Bremer from Torino in the summer transfer window.

Speaking on the YouTube channel of QSVS, as reported by FCInterNews, Ravezzani gave the view that the Brazilian is the superior defender, and that the Nerazzurri missed out on their chance of cashing in on Skriniar and signing him.

Inter faced Bremer for the first time since the high-profile transfer saga in the summer which saw the Nerazzurri strongly linked with the 25-year-old before Juventus jumped in to sign him at the last moment.

It was a performance that showed Inter exactly what they were missing, as the former Torino was part of an all-Brazilian back three which kept Inter’s attackers quiet and kept a clean sheet.

For Ravezzani, this was clear evidence of a mistake that the Nerazzurri had made that goes all the way back to the summer just gone.

“Yesterday Juventus won partly thanks to a monstrous performance by Bremer,” he noted, “whom I consider to be by far the best defender in the league.”

He continued that “In my opinion he’s better than than Skriniar, Inter didn’t have the foresight to take the €60 million for his sale and sign Bremer.”

“If they’d done that, then they would have found themselves with more money and without the headache of having to extend Skriniar’s contract on higher wages,” Ravezzani noted.
