Inter’s directors have emphasized to coach Simone Inzaghi that there is no more grace period left following the team’s struggles at the start of the Serie A season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the directors made it clear that it’s now or never to the coach in their meeting with him yesterday, and that the coach in turn relayed this sentiment to his players.

After Inter’s season had looked to have been getting back on track with four successive wins in Serie A in October, Sunday’s loss to Juventus plunged the team right back into talk of crisis.

The directors feel that the discrepancy between home and away performances this season has been unacceptable.

The message to the coach has been that the team must sort this aspect out, among others.

In turn, Inzaghi has not minced words with the squad, emphasizing that issues with concentration and mentality that have arisen in some damaging losses absolutely cannot continue.
