Inter wingback Matteo Darmian is set to be out for around a month recovering from the thigh strain that was confirmed yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report on the timeline for when the 32-year-old should be able to get back on the training pitch.

Darmian will certainly be out of the Nrazzurri’s two remaining Serie A matches before the World Cup break, against Bologna this evening and then away to Atalanta on Sunday.

The club confirmed yesterday that tests showed Darmian had picked up a strain to the adductor muscles in his right thigh.

According to the Corriere, it should be around a month before the former Manchester United, Torino, and Parma wingback is able to get back on the pitch.

There will be no rush for Darmian to recover, and then he will be part of Inter’s training camp during the break.
