Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is likely to be in the starting eleven for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Atalanta.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 29-year-old is set to make his first start at the base of midfielder since picking up a thigh strain during the September international break.

Brozovic returned to the Nerazzurri’s match day squad from a thigh strain sustained in September in their Serie A clash with Juventus.

The Croat came off the bench during the second half of that match, as well as during the second half of their win over Bologna.

However, Brozovic did not start either match, while he looks likely to start against Atalanta according to the Gazzetta.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta reports that both Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi are playing for a spot at the centre of the back three for Sunday’s match.

Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko are set to start in attack.
