Inter striker Edin Dzeko is waiting to see if a new contract offer is forthcoming from the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sporta, via FCInterNews, who report that the 36-year-old would be willing to reduce his wages to extend his Nerazzurri contract, and has rejected other offers already.

Despite his age, Dzeko has been continuing to prove that he is capable of leading the line for Inter, including during the long injury spell of Romelu Lukaku.

Accordingly, the Bosnian feels confident that he can still have a place at the club beyond the end of the current season.

Dzeko has received proposals from teams in the Turkish Super League, Major League Soccer, and the United Arab Emirates.

However, as of yet the Bosnian is more inclined towards staying at Inter, and would be willing to reduce his wages to do so.

Inter have yet to offer Dzeko an extension, but the striker is hoping that an offer arrives.
