Inter forwards Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa have been included in the Argentine national team’s squad for the upcoming World Cup.

This is confirmed by an announcement on the Argentine FA’s official Twitter account, which lists the Nerazzurri duo among the 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Martinez is a regular starter in attack for the Albiceleste, and had been widely expected to be part of the squad for the tournament, and has indeed been included.

Meanwhile there had been some doubt as to whether or not Correa would be included, but he too has been included in the squad.

Martinez has made forty appearances for the Argentine national team since making his debut in 2018, scoring 21 goals in the process.

Meanwhile, Correa has made a total of seventeen appearances, having made his debut for the Albiceleste in 2017, and he has scored three goals for the national team.
