The agent of young Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz has acknowledged that the 19-year-old is a player on the radars of Inter and AC Milan.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster FCInterNews, Alcaraz’s agent Sebastien Lopez explained that he spoke with both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri, and compared the young Argentine midfielder to Inter’s Nicolo Barella.

Inter have always had a penchant for scouting young talent from South America, and Argentina in particular has been a source of a number of success stories at the Nerazzurri.

Racing Club is the team from which Inter striker Lautaro Martinez was signed.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with another young talent from that club in recent months in the form of Alcaraz.

According to the 19-year-old’s agent Lopez, there have indeed been some talks, whilst he also explained what the potential asking price for the midfielder would be.

Asked if he has spoken with Inter or Milan about Alcaraz, Lopez replied “Yes, with both clubs, last August.”

Of Alcaraz’s strengths as a player, the agent explained that “He has a strong physique, he’s 183 cm tall, with a lot of muscle mass.”

“He knows how to assert himself and always works to improve.”

“He’s a box-to-box player, he can attack spaces in behind, score headers, play through-balls.”

“He can develop and improve further, of course.”

Asked about who would be a comparable profile, Lopez said “I would say that I see a lot of Toni Kroos in him, in Italy I would say Nicolo Barella.”

The agent noted that “He’s of interest to teams in the Bundesliga and the Premier League, but also in Portugal and Italy.”

Regarding the transfer interest in Alcaraz, Lopez stated that “Several offers arrived in the most recent transfer window, but none of them were accepted.”

“The valuation on him is €15 million, perhaps there could be a discount to €12 million, or a little less with a percentage of future resale.”

“If Inter or AC Milan call about him, I’d be happy to talk with them.”
