Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is set for his 250th Serie A match on the bench when his side face Atalanta tomorrow.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 46-year-old is set to reach the milestone in the clash at the Gewiss Stadium, Inter’s final competitive match of 2022 before the World Cup break.

Inzaghi has taken charge of 52 Serie A matches at the helm of Inter, with the previous 197 games coming as Lazio coach from April 2016 until May 2021.

The former striker enjoys a positive record as a coach in the Italian top flight, having registered 142 victories and 44 draws, to his 63 defeats.

Inzaghi led Inter to second place in Serie A last season but has struggled to replicate that form this term, with the Nerazzurri languishing in fifth place and losing five of their opening 14 games.

Inter are yet to beat a team in the top eight of the table this season, but have the chance to rectify this when they face sixth-place Atalanta.
