Inter are ready to offer striker Edin Dzeko a new contract to keep him beyond next summer, as he enters the final months of his existing deal.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international will be the next player to be offered new terms by the Nerazzurri after Milan Skriniar, according to Italian television broadcaster Sport Mediaset, and as reported by FCInterNews.it.

Dzeko is into the final season of the two year contract he penned upon joining from Roma in 2021 and despite turning 37 next March, Inter are keen to keep hold of him.

The former Manchester City and Wolfsburg striker scored his seventh goal of the season in Wednesday’s 6-1 rout of Bologna in Serie A, proving his continued importance to the Nerazzurri, and it is believed that both the club and the player are keen to reach new terms.

Dzeko has made 69 appearances for Inter in all competitions over the past two seasons, scoring 24 goals.
