Inter may use striker Facundo Colidio as a makeweight to secure a favourable deal for Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.

According to, Colidio has impressed during a loan spell at Argentine club Tigre this season and has caught the eye of Racing coach Fernando Gago, prompting Inter to look into the possibility of using him to land Alcaraz.

Colidio’s contract with Inter expires next summer and the Nerazzurri are yet to decide what to do about his future, with a new contract a possibility or a transfer away from the club in January being considered.

Teenage midfielder Alcaraz has impressed Inter assistant sporting director Dario Baccin during his scouting mission in South America, and the Nerazzurri are considering proposing an exchange to Racing that would see Colidio move there.

Whilst Colidio’s value would not meet Racing’s demands for Alcaraz, it is hoped that such a deal would bring the asking price down and help Inter seal a transfer for the 19-year-old.
