Inter are looking to extend their impressive recent record against Atalanta when they face La Dea in Serie A tomorrow, in the final game before the World Cup break.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Biscione have not suffered a league defeat against the Bergamo team in exactly four years, with the last loss coming on 11 November 2018.

Luciano Spalletti’s side were thrashed 4-1 at the Gewiss Stadium but Inter have had a better record since then, with seven encounters in the league yielding two wins and five draws.

With both sides struggling to maintain a Scudetto push, it has been argued that Inter’s unbeaten run against the Orobici could prove to be a useful psychological advantage, as they attempt to end 2022 with a victory.

Inter are yet to win a match against a team in Serie A’s top eight this season and currently languish in fifth, with Atalanta one place behind them.
