Inter are closely monitoring Marcus Thuram’s situation at Borussia Monchengladbach, with the winger refusing to extend his contract with the Bundesliga club.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the France international is due to become a free agent at the end of the season and has decided not to sign new terms at Gladbach, putting Inter on high alert.

The Nerazzurri have been tracking 25-year-old Thuram for some time and his impressive performances in Germany this season, as well as the low cost of bringing him in, have made him a viable option.

It is expected that Inter will fight for his signature on a free transfer and will explore the option more closely in January, when Thuram enters the final six months of his contract.

The Italian-born France international joined Gladbach from Ligue 1 side Guingamp in 2019 and has scored 41 goals in 119 appearances for the club.
