Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella’s impressive form has not gone unnoticed this season, with the Italian international leading the combined goals and assists chart for his position in Europe.

As highlighted on the Nerazzurri’s official website, Inter.it, the former Cagliari midfielder has struck five times in Serie A this season, including in three successive games last month against Salernitana, Fiorentina, and Sampdoria respectively.

In addition to this, Barella has laid on six assists for teammates in the league this term, with his most recent coming in the 6-1 destruction of Bologna on Wednesday as he set up Federico Dimarco.

Inter have proudly announced that the 25-year-old is the only midfielder in Europe’s top five leagues to reach at least five goals and as many assists, emphasising how impressive the Sardinian’s performances at the heart of the team have been.

Barella has also netted once in the Champions League this season, as he found himself on the scoresheet in Inter’s 3-3 draw against Barcelona.
