Valencia fullback Jesus Vazquez had changed his representatives amidst interest from Inter in the January transfer window.

According to Spanish radio station Radio Marca, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the 19-year-old has dropped former agent and signed up to the Leaderbrock agency, who have represented former Valencia players such as Ferran Torres and Jason Remeseiro in the past.

The move is considered a significant step in determining the teenager’s career intentions, with the defender high on Inter’s list of targets to replace Robin Gosens in the January transfer window.

Indeed, the change in representatives is being reported as being in view of a potential move after the World Cup, due to limited opportunities in the first team.

Vazquez has a release clause of €40 million in his current contract but also has an agreement with Valencia to allow him to leave on loan in January if his playing time is limited at the Estadio Mestalla.

Having impressed in his breakthrough season last term, Vazquez has fallen behind Jose Gaya and Toni Lato in the pecking order under coach Gennaro Gattuso, the Spaniard has been limited to just 149 minutes of football across four matches this season.
