Inter wingback Federico Dimarco has said that Inter have raised their collective level and I showed in the win over Atalanta on Sunday afternoon, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking after the 3-2 victory to Inter TV, via FCInternews, Federico Dimarco spoke confidently about how Inter performed and the trajectory that the side is on as they continue to climb up the Serie A table.

The Nerazzurri fell behind to an Ademola Lookman penalty but fought back with two goals from Edin Dzeko and an own goal from Jose Luis Palomino.

Federico Dimarco thinks the comeback is down to an improved attitude from the players in the Inter squad.

“Definitely something has changed in the last period. Before, we used to go down and throw ourselves down, but now when we go down we start off stronger, we change our attitude and then a strong team like us is able to overturn the result.”

He also stressed that Atalanta are a difficult opponent to face: “We met a difficult opponent. Winning here is never easy, we are happy because we brought home three important points.”

Federico Dimarco has had a superb start to the season with Inter and has made the left flank his own. He spoke about how things have gone so far: “I think that’s the result of the work done over the last few months, and as I’ve always said, the continuity of playing helps a lot.

“We have raised the level, beyond raising it personally, the whole team has done it because for a few months now we have raised the level and it shows.”

He also assessed the season so far for Inter: “It’s difficult. For the moment we’re second together with Lazio and Milan and we must try to start off stronger in January because we’ll have Napoli straight away.”
