Inter and Juventus are considering a move for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante in the January transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri would both be interested in signing the 31-year-old, although there would be no discounts from the Premier League side.

Kante’s current contract with Chelsea is set to run out at the end of June 2023, and no agreement has been found on a new deal with the London-based club.

The Frenchman could well decide to leave to seek a new challenge even before his current deal expires.

The Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri would be two of the teams with an interest in taking advantage of the situation and signing Kante, even as early as during the January transfer window.

However, the fee involved in a deal could represent a major stumbling block for the two Italian giants.

Even with Kante’s contract situation, Chelsea would not be prepared to go down from their asking price of €18 million for the French midfielder.
