Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani will be staying where he is until at least the end of the current season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that despite the 20-year-old’s national team coach Edoardo Reja’s admonition that he needs more playing time, the Nerazzurri feel that he’s in the right environment.

Asllani has not played a great deal this season, as the summer signing has found himself behind more experienced midfielders Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu in the pecking order.

However, the Nerazzurri as well as the player himself do not feel that this has been a bad thing for the Albanian’s development, given that he has been able to learn from the other midfielders in training.

Recently, Asllani’s national team coach, former Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta coach Edoardo Reja spoke about the situation.

The Albania coach argued that Asllani needs to be at a club where he can play regularly for this stage in his development.

However, the Nerazzurri remain committed to keeping Asllani in their squad and will not be loaning him out during the January transfer window.
