Inter, Juventus, and AC Milan are all interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, but Bayern Munich are the club in pole position to sign him.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Bavarians are leading the race, though the Nerazzurri are particularly keen on the Frenchman among Italian clubs.

Thuram’s current contract with Gladbach is set to run out at the end of June 2023.

A number of clubs would be ready to target the 25-year-old on a free transfer next summer, and according to the Gazzetta Bayern are the team currently best-placed to sign him.

However, Thuram could leave Gladbach as early as January if the German side decide to cash in when they can still sell him for a fee rather than losing him for free at the end of the season.

Bayern could try to anticipate the competition by moving for Thuram in the January transfer window, but Inter would also be among the clubs considering this as a strategy.
