Inter striker Edin Dzeko is keen to remain at the Nerazzurri, and is likely to be offered a new deal by the club.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported earlier today via FCInterNews that the Nerazzurri are close to being ready to offer the Bosnian a one-year contract extension.

Dzeko’s form for Inter at the start of the current season has made the question of his future at the Nerazzurri a much more significant one than was perhaps expected.

The 36-year-old’s current deal runs out at the end of June 2023, but he shows no signs of slowing down.

The club feel that based on what he has shown during the current campaign, Dzeko can certainly be a part of the plans for at least one further season.

Accordingly, the former Wolfsburg, Manchester City, and Roma striker is likely to be offered a new deal soon.

For his part, Dzeko wants to stay at Inter and would be happy to extend his current contract.
